Playstation Network

Launched in 2006 with the release of the Playstation 3, PSN downloadable games serve as a competitor market to Microsoft's Xbox Live Arcade and Nintendo WiiWare. The market is separated into PSN Games, as well as downloadable retail titles, and PSOne Classics. Sony has released over 180 titles on the market, with many being tracked by FADE.

FADE LLC estimates that the PSN Games market has grossed over $70 million USD in 2010, making it a strong platform for developers to publish their games to, and is growing rapidly due to strong hardware sales.
